"How did I get here?" - Crummy Wizard
What do people usually put here? Name.... Age.... Location... Build? Well I guess I can be that boring. I was born sometime in July in the year 199X in a hospital on the East Coast of the United States. I currently just use a MacBook Pro with a Razer Marauder, Steelseries Diablo III Gaming Mouse, Blue Yeti Microphone, Alesis M1Active 320 USB Speakers, and Bose QuietConfort 15 Acoustic Noise Cancelling headphones. If you read my first blog post if you want to know more personal things or if you are lazy like I am I will just be rewording the blog post and writing it up here.
I didn't start PC gaming until I went into high school so this is fairly new to me compared to other people but I think I have been able to put enough hours into Dota/LoL/HoN to know what I am talking about for people that are fairly new or looking for a good read and someone's opinions on how to get better at a game that they love to play everyday. I have clocked over 3K hours into Dota 2 and I was one of the first people to join the Beta when there was less than 40 heroes in the pool. I actually had to buy a pass to get into the beta because I was never invited into it so I don't remember how much I paid but I believe it as around 40-50$ at the time and I brought it using games that I brought from the Steam Sale. When I first heard about Dota I remember backed when I would play the original Starcraft and Warcraft but I only play these games in passing and never fully got into them until I was older. I loved them for the short burst I did play it gave me a sense of control and power. Those games always reminded me of Chess because of how much you have to know about the game as well as know how to predict what the opponent would do with their time.
Games have always been a key part of my life and something that gets me away from the headaches or heartaches of life. I'm pretty sure that is the same reason why you are here because we actually share something in common and know that our passions are within the same realms of each other even though I may never meet you and you may never meet me. Games for me always opened up a new path for seeing things that otherwise would just bypass me and I wouldn't even bat an eye for. Yet games opened up my eyes to seeing the world in a new light and being able to expect how people are and how people act in the real world by relating them to characters I know in love in the digital world. I always say to my friends the Cartoons in the 90s are the best because they actually have characters we can relate to without it being forced onto anyone. Today there isn't as many shows that you can say I know someone just like that. "Hey Arnold" is one of my favorite classic cartoons that I can still easily relate people to because of how simple the characters were and how each of them relate to someone in your family. Everyone has a friend that is close to them and know that even though you are wearing a banana suit for a school play they will be right by you in a strawberry suit. Well maybe not that close but you know people or friends in your life that are like that or you have a friend that you can count on without having to worry about being judged about what you did or said.
My favorite video game series has always been Legend of Zelda for me it was something that was perfect for a child to learn how stuff works and to question what to do. I love when a new one comes out because it is something that will usually challenge my mind or have another game to say I was able to do a no heart container run. My biggest accomplishment has always been beating Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Master Quest on a 3 heart run. It was one of the most up hill things I have done during my life because once you get to the fire temple the Iron Knuckles are able to one shot you so by the time you get to Ganon's Castle when you deal with the two at once it is insanely hard to beat. Zelda has always had a special place in my heart along with other series like Megaman, Star Fox and Earthbound. It is something about old school games that are able to keep me coming back for one more play through or trying to beat without dying or trying 100%.
..... I SAID IT IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION! ... Stay tuned for more just doing this bit by bit when I have time to write up one or two things
